Great 2nd-hand instrument of professional standard for sale. Top of the line piano that has been used by a professional pianist for the last 10 years. Before that, ownership is unknown. It was built in 1970, (serial number 803375) and completely refurbished by professional piano house in 1999 when I first bought it for almost 3,000 pounds.

Mechanically is in fine condition, simply needs tuning as I have had it stored for the last year. Big, full tone, evenly weighted. A delight to play. Physically it\’s in good shape. It has a good-looking high gloss black case. The case has a number of small blemishes, normal wear and tear, but nothing of significance. Remains a very good-looking piano. Comes with matching stool.

Priced to sell fast, (costs 7,400 new) as I no longer live in the UK, but I am here for the next few weeks and I can arrange for the piano to be viewed in person.

Pleyel Piano

Very rare recently re-conditioned Pleyel piano, in stunning rose wood cabinet with inlayed middle panel, original ivory keys. Restrung, re-polished, action re-conditioned, Grand piano una-corda pedal (moves hammers to the left so striking only one string rather than hammers moving forward as usual for an upright piano), made around 1901. The piano has the typical Pleyel tone for which they were re-nowned and has a light responsive action hence my Pleyel was the preferred choice of piano of Fryderyk Chopin.

This vintage, late 1970′s model Barratt & Robinson upright piano is a bargain for pianists of all abilities. Made in London, with a lovely light mahogany finish and height of 103cm, it can be a focal point in your house or tucked away in a music room or study. This 88-key piano is in great condition and has great playability with a lovely clear tone. Much loved and looked after in the 4 years I have had it, maintained and tuned every 6 months.
